Rens Groen is a lawyer and a member of the Corporate Law team at Köster. This work includes supervising mergers and acquisitions, drawing up and reviewing shareholders’ and participation agreements, drawing up shareholders’ and management resolutions, and litigating in shareholders’ and directors’ disputes.
Rens started his career in law at VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne on Sint Maarten and completed his professional training at BarentsKrans in The Hague, where, in addition to corporate law, he also gained a great deal of experience in property law, administrative law and privacy law. He considers that an advantage in supervising mergers and acquisitions: “It has given me a broader perspective than just the corporate law dimension. Mergers and acquisitions really are about the larger picture.”

Rens has both a domestic and an international outlook. He has a bachelor’s degree in Russian Studies in addition to his Master’s degree in law. He speaks German, English, French, Russian and Spanish.
