“I have a solution-oriented and pragmatic approach, but compromise is not necessarily the best solution; I am not afraid of a conflict if it leads to right solution.”
Monica van Ruitenbeek-Kossen is a specialist in the fields of insolvency law and corporate law. Two worlds of great interest to her converge in her area of expertise: practising law and doing business.
Monica advises her clients in the field of business risks. She is also frequently appointed as a trustee, in which role she acts quickly and decisively, to achieve the best possible outcome for the creditors. She also has a keen eye for the public interest, such as the job preservation. “That is always my challenge: to use the available options as efficiently and creatively as possible.”
She also specialises in equestrian law, in light of her love and knowledge of horses. She is a committee member of the Royal Dutch Sport Horse in Noord-Holland, lectures in equestrian law at the Agricultural University of Applied Sciences in Dronten (AERES) and rides in dressage competitions.
Monica studied both law and management science, specialising in corporate law. She later increased her knowledge by completing the Insolvency Law for Insolvency Practitioners course with distinction. She was also a member of the development group for the Guideline on Combating Insolvency Fraud of the Ministry of Security and Justice.
