Marita Hoogeveen

Marita has many years’ experience as an employment lawyer, focusing in particular on flexible employment relationships. She advises on and litigates all aspects of flexible employment, from temporary employment, secondment and payrolling, to stand-by workers and self-employment. Marita is also regularly involved in collective bargaining and social plan negotiations and is an expert in the fields of reorganisations, amendments to employment conditions, non-compete and other clauses, and employer liability.

In-depth knowledge of the law is where it starts for Marita. She makes the difference by searching for practical solutions together with her clients, also from perspectives that may not be immediately obvious.

Marita is a regular annotator for law journal JAR in the field of rulings on temporary employment, secondment and payrolling. She is also editor-in-chief of monthly magazine ArbeidsRecht, regularly publishes in books and journals, and is a renowned lecturer and speaker in the field of flexible employment relationships.

Marita started her legal career in 2001, at a law firm specialising in personal injury and employment law. From 2005 to 2011 she worked as a lecturer/researcher at the University of Amsterdam and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, before returning to the legal profession in 2011. Marita completed the Grotius Employment Law course cum laude in 2019.
