Hans Weermeijer

In advice and dispute resolution, knowledge and experience counts.

Hans Weermeijer has been sworn in as a lawyer in 1978. He has been focussing primarily on property-related cases. The cases he has handled for his clients include the supervision of property transactions, construction law, the enforcement of security, the leasing and letting of commercial property, Dutch and international contracts, and (complex) civil proceedings and arbitration proceedings.

In the four decades in which Hans has worked as a lawyer, he has represented a wide range of project developers, contracting firms, banks, public authorities and (wealthy) private individuals.

Over time, Hans has developed into an all-round property lawyer with a thorough knowledge of construction law, contract law, landlord and tenant law, and procedural law.

Hans’s clients appreciate his personal commitment and his pragmatic approach when providing legal advice. When a dispute arises, Hans sets himself apart from other lawyers with his strong strategic approach, focusing on and fighting for the best possible outcome.

Hans studied Dutch law at the Free University of Amsterdam. After graduating, he joined Smithuijsen in Haarlem as a lawyer. He then worked for a number of years as an in-house lawyer at Fokker before setting up his own law firm in Hoofddorp in 1984. On joining Köster Advocaten in November 2018, Hans has returned to his roots.

On 1 December 2022, Hans hung up his toga on the willows and has been with Köster as a consultant from this date.
