To me, the appeal of employment law is the playing field of divergent interests and the dynamics of the rapid succession of developments in this area of the law.

Within the Employment Law and Flexible Employment Relationships team, Ajay Heidsma deals with the triangular relationship and other flexible employment relationships. In doing so, he has a particular focus on co-determination and the commercial side of employment law.

In flexible employment relationships, several facets play an important role. As an intermediary, you want to create an optimal position in the market within the complex playing field of laws and regulations, but the implementation of this is hindered by those very regulations. In this, I try to find the sweet spot for the entrepreneur. This goes beyond just explaining laws and regulations. I like to think along at the management level to achieve an optimal and actually applicable result.

Ajay regularly publishes articles for various legal and practice-oriented journals, including OR-rendement, HR-rendement and ArbeidsRecht. Ajay has been a lawyer since 2020 and joined Köster immediately after graduating from the University of Amsterdam.
